Instrumental Hip Hop
Every sound used within these compositions has been engineered, mixed and remixed by me, to get this super authentic result. I play all the core rhythm instruments myself and I've been fortunate enough to work with some really great players and practiced these multi-disciplinary music producing, recording and remixing skills for a long time. I definitely have a specific taste within the hip hop, boom bap or "lo-fi" realm, when it comes to making new music.

Whether its a sample of me playing keys, bass, guitar or drums, or a one of a bandmate, I always have a particular thing I'm looking for to create the music I'm seeking to hear in that moment.
I love micro-chopping to create my own instruments to play melodies with, and microphone recording basically everything. My mixing process is partially governed by the creative recording processes I choose to adhere to so that texture is something I'm finding as I go along, rather than seeing as a strict mastering process. At this point in my practice, I'm weaving in and out of the analogue and digital realms like they are the same technology, and belong in process together.
